Now, a smartphone application for farmers

The rise of smartphones has only been accompanied by the rise of mobile, smartphone applications. From Instagram to Twitter, Temple Run to online weather apps, ebook stores and travel maps, mobile applications are bringing the world to humans with the touch if a fingertip.

However, mobile applications are also seeing new uses. Take for example the company Trimble, who looked into the powerful medium of smartphones to create an application for farmers. The Connected Farm application provides an integrated operations management for easy information exchange among farmers and those part of the agricultural industry.
