
In a recent announcement, the Moroccan Agency For Solar Energy (MASEN) expressed that it is “very confident” about securing the funding for several massive solar power plant project in Morocco’s southern desert regions.
The North African country is set to become a world-class solar energy producer. MASEN stated that by 2020, Morocco will generate 14% of its energy from the sun.
Unsurprisingly, the Middle East and North Africa get lots of sunshine. Many nations in those two sunny regions have embraced solar energy as a means of supplementing fossil fuel plants.
